Earning a Standard Award is Simple
At Southwest Airlines, we base our Rapid Rewards program on the number of trips you take. You'll receive one (1) credit for each one-way flight or two (2) credits for each roundtrip flight taken on Southwest Airlines. After you take only eight (8) roundtrips (or receive 16 credits) in 24 consecutive months, we'll automatically deposit a Rapid Rewards Standard Award in your account. It's that easy!
And with our new Freedom Awards, the Freedom is yours!
Rapid Rewards Members can now convert two Standard Awards into one Freedom Award. With the exception of a few blackout dates, Freedom Awards are not subject to seat restrictions when flying on Southwest, so if a seat is available, it’s yours! See more on Converting to a Freedom Award.
