Text Message Terms

These text message terms describe aspects of Southwest Airlines Co. ("Southwest") text message programs, including for flight, travel and account updates, receipt delivery, surveys, offers, news, and promotions. By signing up for one or more of our text messaging programs, you agree to the Southwest Terms & Conditions as well as these text message terms, and expressly consent to receive recurring marketing or non-marketing (as applicable) text messages (including autodialed and automated text messages) from and on behalf of Southwest at the telephone number(s) that you provide. Consent to receive text messages from or on behalf of Southwest is not a requirement or a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply to each message sent or received, in addition to any applicable roaming charges.

By opting in to receive text messages, you represent that you are the account holder for the telephone number(s) that you provide and you agree to ensure that the telephone number(s) you provide remains accurate and up-to-date at all times. You understand and agree that by checking a box to sign up to receive text messages, texting in to sign up to receive text messages, or otherwise opting in to any Southwest text messaging program, you are providing your digital signature and providing your express written consent to receive recurring text messages (including autodialed and automated text messages) from and on behalf of Southwest at the telephone number(s) that you provide.

Not all carriers are covered and supported carriers may change from time to time. Carriers and Southwest are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Southwest may suspend or terminate your receipt of Southwest text messages at any time. Southwest reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, all or any part of the Southwest text message services, with or without notice.

To stop receiving text messages from a specific Southwest text messaging program, text STOP to the phone number or short code from which you received the text message. You acknowledge that you may then receive a message confirming your opt-out of that text messaging program. You will only be opted out of the specific text messaging program associated with the phone number or short code to which you text STOP; you will remain opted in to other Southwest text messaging programs that you have previously opted in to (if any).

To request additional information or to get help, text HELP to the phone number or short code from which you received the text message. You may also request help or request to opt-out of all Southwest text messaging programs by contacting us through the channels described on our Contact Us page.
